This book will be on my nightstand for decades to come. I heard about it recently from Oprah and wish I had found it sooner! Gary Zukav's notion of "authentic power", power that comes from alignment with oneself -- from within rather than from the outside -- really resonates with me. He says that the human race is at the ground floor of our next stage of evolution. Having reached a state where our physical safety and needs are met (for the most part), we are now on a path to discover non-physical elements of our experience. Oprah and Maya Angelou both wrote compelling prefaces to the book, recounting their personal experiences with it. I love this book!!
